Home carers you can trust
Experienced, carefully selected and personally matched to your loved one.
The right carer makes all the difference
Inviting someone into your home to care for someone you love is a big decision. That’s why we’re incredibly selective about the carers we work with, and why finding the right personality matters just as much as finding the right experience.
Carers we know personally
We don’t believe finding a carer should simply come down to who happens to be available. Sue and Wendy know the carers we work with personally, so we understand their experience, strengths and personalities before introducing them to a family.
That helps us make more thoughtful matches and find someone who feels right not only for your loved one’s care needs, but for their home, routines and way of life too.
Experience you can feel confident in
When someone is caring for your loved one, experience matters. Most of our carers have more than five years of professional caring experience, with many bringing 10 to 15 years of experience to the families they support.
We set high standards for who we work with, looking closely at their experience, training, character and suitability before introducing them to a family.
Years of experience
Many of the carers we work with have been caring professionally for a decade or longer.
Thorough checks
We carry out DBS and background checks, check references and carefully assess each carer’s experience, training and suitability.
Minimum live-in care experience
Carers who are new to Care Sisters must have at least three years of live-in care experience.
For carers new to Care Sisters, we call references, carry out background checks and meet them face to face for a final assessment. We also consider their training, experience and character before deciding whether they’re right for our families.
Meet some of our carers
The best way to understand what makes Care Sisters different is to meet some of the people providing the care. Our carers bring years of experience, kindness and a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives.
Samantha
Registered nurse & home carer
A Registered Nurse from South Africa, Samantha brought years of healthcare experience to the UK when she moved into care. She joined Care Sisters in 2023 and values the personal support, trust and open communication she has found working with Sue.
Yvonne
Home carer
Yvonne first became a carer while looking after her own mother for 25 years. She later turned that deeply caring nature into a profession and particularly loves helping people stay independent in their own homes.
Caroline
Home carer
Caroline has worked with large agencies, small agencies and privately during her caring career. She values the personal approach at Care Sisters and the time taken to listen, offer thoughtful advice and genuinely support carers.
Ros
Long-term home carer
As a long-term Care Sisters carer, Ros has seen first-hand how much care goes into understanding families and finding the right person for each situation. She particularly values the communication and ongoing support available to carers.

How we check our carers
Knowing our carers personally is important, but it doesn’t replace thorough checks. Before we introduce a carer to a family, we make sure they meet our standards and have the right training, checks and documentation in place.
DBS & background checks
Carers must have the appropriate Disclosure and Barring Service checks in place. These are checked when they join us and renewed annually.
Training refreshed every year
Our carers complete their required training annually, helping them keep their knowledge and practical caring skills up to date.
Right to work
We check that every carer has the appropriate documentation confirming their right to work in the UK.
Professional documentation
Carers provide evidence of their National Insurance details and tax status, as well as maintaining their own public liability insurance.
References & experience
For carers new to Care Sisters, we check references and carefully review their previous caring experience before introducing them to families.
Keeping our standards current
We work with the Homecare Association for DBS checking when carers apply and attend update webinars to stay informed about current guidance.
Documentation, training and background checks are essential, but they’re only part of how we choose carers. We also get to know the people behind the paperwork, because when you’re welcoming someone into your loved one’s home, character matters too.
How we match our carers
Finding someone with the right experience is only part of a good care match. They’ll be sharing your loved one’s home and becoming part of their everyday life, so personality, routines and interests matter too.
We get to know your loved one
It starts with understanding the person, not just their care needs. We learn about their daily routine, personality, interests, preferences and the things that are important to them.
We consider the care they need
We look carefully at your loved one’s physical and emotional care needs, then identify carers with the right skills, training and experience to support them safely and confidently.
We look for a genuine personal fit
This is where knowing our carers personally makes a difference. We consider personality, hobbies, interests, lifestyle and the little things that can make living together feel natural and comfortable.
We create a shortlist
Rather than simply sending whoever is available, we identify carers we believe could be a genuinely good match and share the most suitable options with your family.
Your family has the final say
It’s your loved one’s home, so the choice should feel right to them. Your family is involved in the final decision, with our team here to offer guidance and answer questions along the way.
Supporting the people who care
Great care starts with carers who feel supported too. Once a carer has been introduced to a family, we don’t simply step away.
Our small team stays in regular contact, giving carers someone they know they can turn to for advice, guidance or simply a chat when they need one.
That ongoing relationship matters. When carers feel listened to, valued and supported, they can focus on what matters most: providing great care for your loved one.
