About us

About Care Sisters

Founded by carers. Family-run by design. Carers we know and trust. Here for families throughout.

Care that started with two sisters

Care Sisters was founded by sisters Sue and Wendy after years of working as carers themselves. They saw first-hand how personal live-in care should be and created a small, family-run agency where families are known, supported and never treated like just another number.

Today, Wendy has stepped away from Care Sisters to focus on her health, leaving the agency in Sue’s trusted hands. Sue continues the work they started together, with the same values, experience and deeply personal approach at the heart of every family Care Sisters supports.

Our story: From Sisters to Care Sisters

Sue and Wendy, founders of Care Sisters

It started with caring

Before Care Sisters, Sue and Wendy spent years working as carers themselves. They saw first-hand how much the right carer could improve someone’s life.

They knew care could be more personal

Their experience showed them that families needed more than simply finding someone available. They needed a carer who genuinely suited their loved one, their home and their way of life.

Care Sisters was born

Sue and Wendy created a small, family-run agency where carers are known personally, families are listened to, and every match considers personality as well as experience.

Care Sisters has grown, but we remain small by choice, keeping the personal approach Sue and Wendy started with at the heart of everything we do.

Meet the team

Sue, co-founder of Care Sisters

Sue

Co-founder

Sue co-founded Care Sisters after more than 15 years working in care, including as a live-in carer. Her first-hand experience shapes the personal approach we still take today.

Today, Sue leads Care Sisters and remains closely involved with the families we support, from understanding their needs and helping find the right carer to providing ongoing support throughout their care.

Wendy, co-founder of Care Sisters

Wendy

Co-founder

Wendy co-founded Care Sisters with Sue, bringing more than 15 years of hands-on caring experience and helping shape the personal, compassionate approach the agency is built around.

Wendy has now stepped away from Care Sisters to focus on her health. She has left the agency in the trusted hands of Sue, who continues to carry forward the values, experience and personal approach they established together.

Carers we know and trust

We only work with highly skilled, qualified and experienced carers who Sue and Wendy know personally. We know their strengths, experience and personalities, helping us find the right carer for every family.

Because great care is about more than qualifications. It’s about finding someone your loved one feels safe, comfortable and happy with. Trust, safety and happiness always come first.

How our service works

Finding the right care is personal. Our approach is simple, thoughtful and built around making sure your loved one feels comfortable, supported and in control.

1

We get to know your family

We take the time to understand your loved one, their needs, routines and what matters most to them.

2

We find the right carer

We look at experience, skills and personality to find someone who feels like the right fit.

3

You choose with confidence

We introduce carers we know and trust, giving you the information and support you need to make the right choice.

4

We stay by your side

Once care begins, we remain available to support your family and carer throughout.

Why families trust Care Sisters

Families need to feel confident in the person looking after someone they love, and carers need to feel supported too.

That’s why we’re always proud to share the experiences of the families, people and carers who know Care Sisters best. Their words say more about the care we provide than we ever could ourselves.

Care Sisters live-in care

My parents have been looked after by a Care Sisters carer and found it of great comfort to be in their own home and so well looked after.

She responded very promptly and then took time to understand our needs and to visit my mother and understand her needs.

Mum is well looked after, and at the same time it has taken away a lot of worry for our family.

What does being an introductory care agency mean?

Care Sisters is an introductory care agency. This means we help your family find and choose an experienced, self-employed carer who is right for your loved one.

Rather than simply assigning someone from a rota, we get to know your family, introduce carers we know and trust, and stay involved to support you throughout.

You stay in control

Your family is involved in choosing the person who will provide your loved one’s care.

A personal match

We consider experience and care needs, but also personality, routines and lifestyle.

Support throughout

Our role does not end with an introduction. We remain here for families and carers throughout.

"Sue, Wendy and their team of carers are outstanding. They cared for my mother with ovarian cancer for almost ten years... I cannot rate them highly enough."
